This gentle form of massage encourages the flow and release of lymphatic fluid. Part of your session you are in the infrared sauna blanket. Prenatal Lymphatic Drainage (no infrared sauna blanket) Lymphatic drainage is safe during pregnancy and can be very beneficial for expecting moms. Lymphatic drainage promotes a healthy environment for both mom and baby. Aids in relaxation and stress relief. Many women find that as they progress through the third trimester swollen feet and ankles can become very uncomfortable. This massage can help reduce edema related to pregnancy. It is also known to help with anxiety relief, sinus congestion and headaches. Postpartum Lymphatic Drainage Lymphatic drainage massage is known to aid the body in recovery and healing during the postpartum period. Can also help regulate breast milk flow and help prevent any clogged milk ducts. It aims to flush away excess fluids including those possibly received via IV during labour or delivery. Pre-Operative A lymphatic massage is recommended prior to surgery as it helps prepare your body for the surgical procedure. The massage stimulates the lymph vessels of your lymphatic system to remove waste products, bacteria, viruses, excess proteins, excess fluid and any other unwanted substances from your body.
